Story - Muskurake Dekh Zara

Muskurake Dekh Zara is a story of a young 'boy man' named Vivek. It's a story of simple emotions & disappointments of love and life. Vivek (Gashmeer Mahajani) has an 'upright' attitude, and ability to put people in their place and add lightness into moody and mundane situations not only when he interacts with his life's love Preeti (Twinkle Patel) but also when he encounters and jests with the simple, funny and harmless folks - like the eccentric live in DLT (Duniya Lal Tripati), the 'badnaseeb' hotel manager Khaatkar , the curious curio shop owner Elton, the heroine's eternally inebriated Chaacha who feels that one's 'spirit' can be derived only from downing spirits. The film's lighter moments beautifully intersperse with the hero's portrayal of a character of depth. 

An incident of embarrassment drives Vivek from his hometown to Mumbai where he falls in love with Preeti. His leadership qualities & unusual understanding of situations makes his friends look up to him. It is his wonderful ability to reason that wins him the love of Preeti & finally put the villain Prakash Raj at bay. 

In MDZ, it's not just love & disappointment but the fresh way they are handled that makes the film unique. With presence & not prejudice of the mind, Vivek deals with life's various & varied situations as they happen to him. This Love & Laughter story is propped up by excellent comedy tracks & songs.

Plot Summary for

Phoonk 1 ends with the killing of Madhu, the woman who casts a black magic spell on Rajiv's daughter Raksha. Phoonk 2 begins with Madhu's ghost returning from the grave to seek revenge on the family. On bagging a new construction project, Rajiv moves with his family to a new place. Raksha and Rohan begin exploring the new place and the surroundings- the lonely beach and then the woods behind the house. The terror begins with Raksha and Rohan finding a doll in the woods and then it progresses to a series of highly traumatising experiences for the whole family. The movie grossed around Rs 4 crore approx on its opening day. Overall its collection was mediocre except in Mumbai territory where it collected around Rs 1.5 crore on its first day. The Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer couldn’t boost the collections even on first weekend. The collections did not show a big leap and the movie just managed a fair business over its first weekend. The collections dropped on Monday taking its four day business to only Rs 15.75 crore approx. At the end of first week of release it seemed the film would not even do Rs 30 crore net business. It has been declared a flop on the basis of average collections at the box office.

In the US, the film has grossed $743,209.

Movie’s story is good but many Scenes in the movie are unbelievable for example the scene where Prince jump from one cliff to another in a terrain bike! The screenplay is really fast makes you sit in the seat without making you feel bored. The camera work by Vishnu rao has helped the stylish output and the helicopter shots are amazing. The visual effects and computer graphics are realistic but the only thing is it’s unbelievable with respect to year 2010 may it would have suit year 2100 better. Music by Sachin Gupta is soothing and especially the song “tere liye” is so magical with Atif Aslam’s voice. Resul Pookutty’s sound design has made the movie live.
